We want to ensure that your customer's experience is as smooth as possible. Your customers have two different experiences with your checkout page. This article is dedicated to the gift recipient experience.
Please note that our app is currently only compatible with stores that utilize a BigCommerce native checkout.
Gift Redemption
After your gift recipient receives their gift redemption email, the recipient will click a link within the email which will take the recipient to a custom recipient checkout page. This experience is very different to the sender experience.
Upsells
We want to ensure that your gift recipients convert into direct customers. On our recipient checkout, we provide a call to action to prompt recipients to "Continue Shopping" and add items to their cart to checkout along with their gift!
If the recipient decides to purchase an additional item - the checkout experience will reflect that their gift is free, and they'll only be charged shipping and tax on the purchased item.
Gift Removed
We will notify a recipient if they accidentally remove their gift from their cart to ensure they can still redeem their gift.
Checkout
The recipient will add their shipping address in checkout and their gift will be sent! The sender will be notified that the recipient has redeemed their gift.
